Yeah, consolidated dispatch is bad. Consider this - dispatchers are half-way across the state and have never even visited the troop where you work and therefore, don't know the geography. You get off on a city street that has a weird name and they have NO clue where you are. Some caller gives them a bad location but they don't know that because they don't know the area, so they can't send you the right place.
For example, we have an interstate that intersects "State Line Rd.", "State Ave" and the physical state line in two places also (one of which is State Line Rd.) That always causes confusion and that's just one example.
