NEOSHO, Mo. -- A routine vehicle check by a Commercial Vehicle inspector led to a major drug bust in Newton County. The Highway Patrol says a trucker was arrested on Friday after troopers found 1,800 pounds of bundled marijuana in his semi trailer.
The drugs were discovered on Interstate 44. The 31-year-old man from Los Angeles was in the Newton County jail with charges pending on Saturday.
