Highway patrol discontinuing weather hotline

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Highway Patrol will no longer offer weather and road conditions through its hotline starting March 1.
The patrol said the lack of use by the public, combined with the update process dispatchers go through were the reasons for discontinuing the hotline.
Stopping the hotline will also save the patrol money, though it is unclear of its total savings.
Those who need to know weather and road information can log on to www.BuckeyeTraffic.org or call 1-877-7Patrol to get conditions.
