Update on me

I got a letter today to retake my PAT on April 6. Hopefully it won't start before that

They will fit you in. We had some candidates that were do to take the test and they waived because the academy was so close.

Hello all..I was browsing officer.com and caught a link to here.

I have passed everything (including medical) except for the psychological for MSP. I'm currently a cadet at a small department in Maryland and I have my psych scheduled for tomorrow.

In early Feb, the last time I heard anything about a class, they said June or July.

I don't turn 20.5 years old until May 24th, which was fine, but now I'm reading on here April for a class...meaning if I got in I'd be 20 years old upon graduation.

If I am honored enough to pass the psych/selection process and get a final offer of employment, will I have to wait until the next class????

Hello and Welcome elcamino309 glad to have you on board.
First of all you will pass the Psych. Second they will probably put you through because of their need for good candidates. But maybe hold off giving you a weapon until your 21. If you have passed everything except Psych and they haven't done anything because of your age yet, you should be good.

Welcome elcamino390! There are several of us here who are currently stressing about making it into a future MSP academy. Some of us are still in school, some of us are working elsewhere. It sounds like you've got a fantastic start! Best of luck to you, man!

I got a phone call from the recruiter today and he said the 134th class will start May 4. As long as I pass my PAT on Monday I will be a part of it. Yipeeeeeee

So it is official, I passed the FFAT today. I will be part of the 134th academy that starts May 4

I won't give up. If I'm not selected they'll be seeing my application again!

Took psych in mid March. Before that did everything as far as I know...FFAT, written, oral, poly, medical.

I posted on the page before this my real concern. I am the baby here, not cantgethired I won't be 21 years old until the end of November. Meaning I'll still be 20 years old at the end of #134 by a couple weeks since they set the date at the beginning of May. I was hoping the class would be June or later so this wouldn't be a problem.

I'm totally ready to go...I've been a cadet (not with MSP) for a year and a half!

Im hearing rumors of a September class. It makes sense to me. Last year (2008) they had 1 May and September. If you don't get in this one you won't have to reapply. I just barely missed the Sept. class and here I am. Just had to retake my FFAT. Don't give up. I know Troopers that were in process for a couple of years.
