Uniform Best?

What Trooper Agency do think has the best looking uniform?

No offense, but definitely NOT the ones who wear bow ties!!!

I like the bright blue hat bands on CHP's. I like the badges of Louisiana. I don't like the east cost or Michigan's bus driver hats or the sheriff hats. I prefer the look of the campaign hats.

I'd have to see all 49 agencies lined up side by side to decide for sure. I do know that back in the late 80's or early 90's, Kansas Highway Patrol was voted best dressed.

As a Georgia Trooper I will vote for my friends just north of me. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol has always been my favorite.

In real life the Stetson is tan and the boots are also brown...but the women are always blonde...at least my wife is.

No question about it, the best looking trooper uniform was those worn by the troops in Virginia ...
... before campaign hats, when the hat was still a stetson.

Yeah. maybe I'm a little biased ...

Maryland State Troopers!!

Nevada Troopers used to look like "State Troopers." Now, well, we look like regular ol' city cops in this LAPD Blue uniform.

The Oregon State Police uniform looks sharp.

TallTacoma what did your former uniforms look like?

French blue w/ a navy blue stripe on the pants and navy blue shoulder boards and pockets.

That's a big difference! What made them change to the current uniform? Did Trooper have any say in it?

Nevada went to the "Department of Public Safety" concept and someone believed all divisions should have the same uniform. No, the Troopers didn't want to change, but our association sucks and we had to take it on the chin.

My first contact with State Troopers was when I was stationed in New Jersey with the Air Force. I have alawys though the New Jersey State Police's uniforms were sharp and still do.

Any agency that sports the Sam Browne across their chest year round, I think looks sharp! I also like the Missouri and Kansas Highway Patrols' uniforms....
