| Trooper - State of New Hampshire, NH Position Type Position Title Trooper Trooper Requirements/Overview
Education/Experience: a. High school diploma or GED, plus two (2) years full-time employment as a certified police officer, or b. High school diploma or GED, plus 60 credit hours from a recognized college, preferably with a major in Criminal Justice, or c. High school diploma or GED, plus two (2) years full-time active duty military service with an honorable discharge. Special Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age either prior to or on scheduled date of written examination administration, and a US citizen. Eyesight must be at least 20/40 in each eye uncorrected and corrected to 20/20 in each eye and have normal uncorrected color perception. Hearing must possess hearing sufficient to enable performance of essential job functions. Police Officer Certification Candidates must be able to obtain police officer certification within the time frame established by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council or be in possession of police officer certification at the time of appointment.
Appointees must maintain police certification throughout their tenure of service.
Driver's License Upon appointment, candidates must obtain a New Hampshire Driver's License in compliance with New Hampshire statutes governing driver's licenses and registrations.
Candidates should be willing to accept employment anywhere in the State of New Hampshire.
