| Way to open up a real can of worms! Actually, I suspect that the sheer inertia of the American Public will make any of Obama's vaunted change very difficult to achieve. I don't see any major changes to everyday life occuring in the near future. I could be wrong, but at the moment it just doesn't seem all that likely. | |

| I keep hearing that gun sales are up especially on certain weapons. I think we might be in for some changes. | |

| I would believe that gun sales are up, particularly assault type weapons. The thinking seems to be to purchase them now before the incoming administration is able to stop sales completely. | |

| I can only talk about what I see. I've heard folks use that argument. What do you think? Have you heard other reasoning for the surge in gun sales? I'm genuinely curious, it's not a market that sees a great deal of fluctuation. | |

| No I really haven't heard anything that would make gun owner's panic. | |

| He has too much else on his plate to risk alienating the moderate left and right from the heartland and the south that put him in office. I don't see him pushing too hard on this issue during this four year term. Now if he wins reelection, all bets are off...... | |

| I think you are probably right, VSPClem. He's got too much going on right now to worry about non-vital parts of his agenda. If things settle down, I see him trying to revive the issue in a year or two, but he won't be able to do much about it. This brings me some comfort. | |

| Australia's crime rates went up, across the board, after upstanding citizens were ordered to turn in their firearms. But, liberals like to ignore the facts and rely on ideology. | |

| You'd think that more people would notice things like that and take it into account before they try to ban legal gun ownership. But, sadly, no. | |
